# getActionName

## Overview

Maps a view name to its corresponding DRF action name, defaulting to the view name itself.

## Signature

`getActionName(action)`

### Parameters

| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| <span id="param-action">action</span> | `string` | yes | The view name (e.g. "read", "list", "create"). |

### Returns

`string`

The corresponding DRF action name.
