# core.config

## Overview

TOML-based configuration adapter with typed accessors and environment variable overrides.

## `load_toml` {#load_toml}

Return the parsed contents of the TOML file at ``path``, or an empty dict when the file does not
exist.

Settings modules merge ``config.toml`` and ``config.local.toml`` this way before passing the result
to ``TomlEnv``.
